An adapted tricycle for Mateus: help Mateus move freely
Help Mateus get an adapted tricycle so He can attend work interviews.
🇧🇷 Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil819 views
Mateus lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Campinas General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $250.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Mateus could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• Fitting and training sessions: $65
• First-year servicing plan: $135
Glad we found this place.

Best of luck, Carolina. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 20 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best!
Sending good thoughts. Wishing Mateus a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
