An adapted tricycle for Leah: help Leah move freely
An adapted tricycle would give Leah independence - we are $5,900 away.
🇬🇧 Leicester, England, United Kingdom4,718 views
Leah lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Leicester Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,900.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Leah could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,900 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $5,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $310
• Delivery and set-up: $90
• First-year servicing plan: $250
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thinking of you and your family, Waylon. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My neighbor in Iztapalapa donated after I showed her your page
