An adapted tricycle for Jessica: help Jessica move freely
Help Jessica get an adapted tricycle so She can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇿🇦 Gauteng, South Africa243 views
Jessica lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Sandton General Hospital has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Jessica could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $990
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $45
• First-year servicing plan: $60

Best of luck, Wayne. Get well soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
