Gunawan lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Bekasi Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Gunawan could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,150 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $15 • Fitting and training sessions: $30 • adapted tricycle: $1,105 Thanks for being kind about this.

  • is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gunawan!

    • Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. delivery and set-up comes first ($15) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.

Sending strength, Dedi. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Blessings.

    • hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Guarulhos.
