An adapted tricycle would give Akello independence - we're $500 away.

Dar es Salaam
Akello lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Dar es Salaam Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500. Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Akello could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $500 goes: • adapted tricycle: $390 • Fitting and training sessions: $30 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $55 Every share and every dollar helps. - Athumani
