I make my living with my pickup. 10 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $200 goes: • Labor charges: $55 • Towing and inspection: $15 • rear axle replacement (parts): $130 Thanks for reading all this.

  • I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Madurai donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of La Plata.

    • Take care. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. After 16 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Berlin!

      • Keep going, Amparo. Hope you get there. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!

Best of luck, Amparo. Small businesses are the heart of La Plata. Hope you're open again soon. Don't give up.
