I'm caring for me, who's 77. After a heart attack Amol can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Amol desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Amol worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $600 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $340
• Medication and prescriptions: $110
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $100

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. part-time carer (four months) comes first ($340) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
