In September I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Los Angeles General Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,000, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $2,000 short.
Doctors at Los Angeles General Hospital told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without hip replacement surgery. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,000 is far beyond what I've.
