Alka's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Alka won a place at Patna Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Patna Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become an engineer. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $95
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
• Textbooks and workbooks: $45
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
