Alina served six years in the marines; $1,000 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served six years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $1,000.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Training provider fees: $730
• Essential household items: $50
• Housing deposit and first month: $220
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thinking of you and your family, Alina. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Madurai
Hope it all works out. Hope you get there. Greetings from Aswan
Sending love. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Palmira but we're thinking of you
Hope it all works out, Alina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too
