Alice received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Alice needs $3,950 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Dallas.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 4 weeks, Alice fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,950.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, the family must leave.
There are a teenager still in school at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Alice has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
