Alexander needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Flint
Alexander drives for a living in Flint, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇺🇸 Flint, Michigan, United States1,213 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $910
• Labor charges: $250
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $195
• Towing and inspection: $95
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending strength, Alexander. Hope the shop reopens soon. Wish I lived closer to Warangal so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Flint.
Best of luck, Alexander. Hope this works out for you. Love from Madrid.
