Alessia needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall
A small grocery stall in Turin needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after a fire in the building.

For nine years I have run a small grocery stall in Turin. In July, a fire in the building took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $480
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $1,100
• Working capital for the first month: $220
Thank you for reading my story.

Wishing you the best, Alessia. Small businesses are the heart of Turin. Hope you're open again soon. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Turin.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 31 people at work. All the best
Thinking of you and your family, Alessia. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. God bless.
