Alcalá de Henares wildfire relief - the Northside settlement
After the wildfire, families in the Northside settlement need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The wildfire hit the Northside settlement on 23 August. My home was one of 36 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $5,700 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,600
• Clean water and purification supplies: $660
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $350
• Food parcels for displaced families: $840
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,250
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Arturo
Small update. $87 so far, I made the first payment toward food parcels for displaced families.
Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($92). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 2% funded and the plan for roofing sheets and timber is now scheduled.
