Akari's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Akari was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Akari was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in June. The surgeon at Sapporo Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,450, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,350 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Sapporo Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Akari struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Akari won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $230
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $2,550
• Physiotherapy sessions: $320
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $250
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Stay strong, Takeshi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Sapporo.
