Akari was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in December. The oncology team at Sapporo Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Akari is 57, worked as a bakery worker until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Sapporo Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Household costs while unable to work: $880
• Transport to Sapporo Regional Medical Center: $740
• Scans and lab work: $830

It's all in the list in the story. household costs while unable to work is the big one at $880, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
