Kasarani
I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at Kasarani General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $100 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $20 • Fitting and training sessions: $35 • First-year servicing plan: $45 Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Aisha

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($47 in total) I made the first payment toward fitting and training sessions. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($64 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 119% funded and I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.

  • Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Cambridge but we're thinking of you!

    • Hang in there, Aisha. Hope the doctors have good news. God bless.
