Aileen was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May. The oncology team at the Taguig Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Aileen is 34, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Taguig Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,950 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $370 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400 • Transport to the Taguig Oncology Institute: $180 Thank you so much. - Lovely
