Aikaterini can't leave home - help build a ramp
Aikaterini uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇬🇷 Western Greece, Greece1,331 views
Aikaterini has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Aikaterini can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Aikaterini's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

hope it all works out, Panagiotis. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
Keep going, Panagiotis. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Hang in there. Wishing Aikaterini a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Melbourne.
Thinking of you, Panagiotis. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. It's not much but it's yours. Love from São Paulo!

Praying for you. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Patras.
