Aiden can't leave home - help build a ramp

Help Aiden regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Aiden has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Aiden can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Aiden's family will cook lunch for the team. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Sending love. Wishing Aiden a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings.

    • Thinking of you, Brooks. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry

      • Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Thinking of London!

Wishing you peace, Brooks. This could happen to any of us. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
