Ahmed's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled cataract surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $4,000 of the cost.

Ahmed was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in July. The surgeon at Mecca Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Mecca Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ahmed struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Ahmed won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
