Afia lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Tamale Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks. With the right equipment Afia could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $100 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $15 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • First-year servicing plan: $40 If you're reading this, thank you. - Diana

  • Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care

    • Sending strength, Diana. Get well soon. Don't give up. All the best

      • hope things get better soon, Diana. Shared this with my family. After 26 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

        • best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Newcastle upon Tyne so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Tamale!
