Adewale's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in June is out of reach without help covering $650 of the cost.

Adewale was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in February. The surgeon at Benin City Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $930, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $650 short.
my husband has been in and out of Benin City Orthopedic Institute since February. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $930 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Adewale struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Adewale won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $470
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80
• Physiotherapy sessions: $100
Thanks for being kind about this.
