Addison received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A sudden layoff left Addison short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 10 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $390
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,500
• Late fees and court costs: $310
Glad we found this place.

thinking of you and your family. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Stay strong. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Leicester.
Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
Thinking of you and your family. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. After 8 years in social work I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Leicester
sending good thoughts, Addison. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
