ACL reconstruction for Paul: covering what insurance won't
After an aortic valve defect, Paul was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Paul was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in December. The surgeon at Paris Regional Medical Center recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $4,650 short.
my son has been in and out of Paris Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Paul struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Paul won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,400
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $990
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $260
• Post-operative medication: $370
• Physiotherapy sessions: $520
• Travel and lodging for the family: $110
Glad we found this place.

Good luck, Clément. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
Wishing you the best, Clément. Gave what I could, wish it was more!
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Paris
