ACL reconstruction for Lydia: covering what insurance won't
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Lydia was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Lydia was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Mandurah Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $13,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,450 short.
my mother has been in and out of Mandurah Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $13,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lydia struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
