Avery was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in September. The surgeon at Oakland General Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,350, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,050 short.
my sister has been in and out of Oakland General Hospital since September. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Avery struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
