Accra storm relief - Northside village
Neighbors in Northside village are rebuilding after the storm; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The storm hit Northside village on 29 August. My home was one of 18 damaged, and 11 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $750 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $75
• Food parcels for displaced families: $250
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $220
• Tools and labor for repairs: $205
With deep gratitude,
Vincent

Stay strong, Vincent. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
Thinking of you, Vincent. Hope you get there. All the best
Rooting for you, Vincent. This could happen to any of us
Sending good thoughts. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Ikeja but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Accra.
hang in there, Vincent. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
