Acacia Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Shawn's neighborhood project
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Acacia Primary School that will serve 115 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $850, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 115 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Materials: $2,350
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $340
• Tools hire and delivery: $230
