Abuja flood relief - Riverside village
The flood damaged 69 homes in Riverside village. We are raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit Riverside village on 5 May. My home was one of 69 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $950 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $400
• Clean water and purification supplies: $130
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $135
• Food parcels for displaced families: $160
• Tools and labor for repairs: $125
Thanks for reading all this.

Best of luck. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Mardan but we're thinking of you. All the best
