Abosede needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
A laundry service in Lagos needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after a long illness and repossession.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,131 views
For nine years I have run a laundry service in Lagos. In May, a long illness and repossession took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $75
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $250
• Working capital for the first month: $75
Glad we found this place.

Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Olinda so I could bring a meal. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Abosede. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Lagos!
Rooting for you, Abosede. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Nagpur this morning. Blessings.
