Aaron's colon cancer treatment fund
8 rounds of treatment are planned at the Nottingham Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom939 views
Aaron was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at the Nottingham Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Aaron is 27, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Nottingham Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,500 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,300
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $730
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,470

Thinking of you and your family, Joshua. I hope things turn around soon. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Aaron.
It's all in the list in the story. scans and lab work is the big one at $1,300, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
praying for you, Joshua. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
hope things get better soon, Joshua. Looking forward to the next update. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Nottingham.
