Aarón lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Guadalupe Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $200. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Aarón could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $200 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $60 • First-year servicing plan: $70 • Fitting and training sessions: $70 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Gonzalo
