A youth football pitch for the Unity health centre yard: help our neighbors in Paarl
Volunteers in Paarl are raising $500 for a youth football pitch at the Unity health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 507 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Materials: $380
• Permits and inspections: $75
