A youth football pitch for the Pioneer vacant lot: help our neighbors in Santos
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Pioneer vacant lot that will serve 203 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 203 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $120
• Materials: $280
• Safety equipment and signage: $100
