A youth football pitch for the old Pioneer bus depot: help our neighbors in Valencia

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,500. It will serve about 114 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,500 goes: • Materials: $1,900 • Permits and inspections: $230 • Safety equipment and signage: $135 • Tools hire and delivery: $235 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Cristina
