A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Pokhara
A community-led a youth football pitch at the old Harmony bus depot that will serve 226 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $85, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 226 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Permits and inspections: $75
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
