A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Pattaya
Volunteers in Pattaya are raising $650 for a youth football pitch at the Sycamore health centre yard.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 559 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $410
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $125
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
