A weekly visit for Yamuna, 72, who lives alone in Pune
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Yamuna is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Yamuna, who's 72. Yamuna lives alone in Pune, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Yamuna loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Mumbai.
sending love, Deepa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Take care
So sorry you're going through this, Deepa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Stay strong, Deepa. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Pune.
