A weekly visit for Wayne, 72, who lives alone in Nottingham
Looking for a friendly person in Nottingham to visit Wayne once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Wayne, who's 72. Wayne lives alone in Nottingham, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Wayne loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Lydia. Shared this with my family. Blessings.
Wishing you the best, Lydia. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together.
rooting for you, Lydia. Hope you get there. After 16 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope things get better soon, Lydia. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Lviv.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Taguig but we're thinking of you!
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Leeds this morning.
