A weekly visit for Scarlett, 77, who lives alone in San Diego
Looking for a friendly person in San Diego to visit Scarlett once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Scarlett, who's 77. Scarlett lives alone in San Diego, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Scarlett loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

Thanks for sharing this, Keith. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Rawalpindi

Keep going, Keith. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
Praying for you, Keith. Get well soon. Don't give up.
Thinking of you and your family, Keith. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of San Diego
