A weekly visit for Ruby, 83, who lives alone in London
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Ruby is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ruby, who's 83. Ruby lives alone in London, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 795 kilometers away.
Ruby loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you the best. Wishing Ruby a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
wishing you peace, Harold. I hope things turn around soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier
So sorry you're going through this, Harold. Hope the doctors have good news. All the best
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
