A weekly visit for Ram, 86, who lives alone in Kathmandu
Ram lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ram, who's 86. Ram lives alone in Kathmandu, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Ram loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Love from Rotterdam.
hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Mwanza so I could bring a meal. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Januka. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Kathmandu.
