A weekly visit for Pari, 86, who lives alone in Mumbai
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Pari is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Pari, who's 86. Pari lives alone in Mumbai, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Pari loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Thiruvananthapuram

Wishing Pari a smooth procedure and a full recovery. It's not much but it's yours.
Praying for you, Suresh. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Mumbai.
