A weekly visit for Jennifer, 76, who lives alone in Los Angeles
Jennifer lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Jennifer, who's 76. Jennifer lives alone in Los Angeles, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Jennifer loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you so much.

Hope it all works out. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Sending strength, Caleb. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick.
Hope this works out for you. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Los Angeles.
