A weekly visit for Chae-won, 81, who lives alone in Gangnam

Chae-won lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Chae-won, who's 81. Chae-won lives alone in Gangnam, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 889 kilometers away. Chae-won loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
