A weekly visit for Arthur, 78, who lives alone in Campinas

I'm writing for my neighbor Arthur, who's 78. Arthur lives alone in Campinas, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Arthur loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
