A weekly visit for Aiden, 75, who lives alone in Minneapolis
Aiden lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Aiden, who's 75. Aiden lives alone in Minneapolis, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 665 kilometers away.
Aiden loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

You're not alone. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Montréal so I could bring a meal. God bless!
Good luck, Bennett. Hope the doctors have good news. Thinking of Minneapolis.

Hope it all works out, Bennett. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Put this on a community board in Auckland this morning.
