A weekly visit for Adrian, 79, who lives alone in Anaheim

Adrian lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Adrian, who's 79. Adrian lives alone in Anaheim, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Adrian loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
