A weekly ride to the Johannesburg Kidney Centre for Brandon

A rota of drivers to the Johannesburg Kidney Centre would keep Brandon on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Brandon has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Johannesburg Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Brandon can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 16 km each way. Brandon is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Glad we found this place.
